Because hyaluronic acid is essential in the skincare routine

What is hyaluronic acid and what is it for?

Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan, a biopolymer made up of two simple sugars (glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine) which bind together forming long chains which can incorporate numerous water molecules inside them.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by the body by fibroblasts and is among the most important components of connective tissue: it maintains the correct degree of hydration, turgidity, plasticity and viscosity of the skin, preventing skin blemishes. At the same time, therefore, it performs a cementing, anti-shock and lubricating function, preventing damage to tissue cells from physical stress.

Over time it has been ascertained that its function is performed in numerous areas of the body, skin, cartilage, tendons, synovial fluid, umbilical cord, and is drastically reduced when it is deficient in these anatomical areas. Furthermore, it has a barrier effect against microorganisms thanks to its lattice capable of incorporating bacteria, viruses and larger microorganisms.

In summary, this molecule, thanks to its chemical structure, manages to bind and retain water, forming a "scaffolding" that supports the tissues, keeping them toned. Thus the skin maintains its smooth and "lifted" appearance.

Why it's important to include hyaluronic acid in your beauty routine

We have seen that hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by our body but over the years its levels drop drastically resulting in dehydration of the skin and the formation of the first wrinkles. Its production begins to decrease already after the age of 30, reaching 50% less around the age of 40.

This is the reason that leads us to make up for its deficiency with the application of cosmetic products that can compensate for the defect.

The recipe of the new moisturizing and plumping oil-free booster serum

From this brief introduction you will have understood why Eudermica has decided to dedicate one of its two new booster serums to Hyaluronic Acid.

The formula is highly innovative and 100% natural: it uses a complex of 5 different molecules of Hyaluronic Acid able to satisfy the needs of the skin in all the epidermal layers and combines it with three other wonderful active ingredients: the Sardinian strawberry tree extract , Betaglucan and Trehalose.

Hyaluronic acid has a moisturizing and plumping effect, stimulates the production of collagen, increases skin elasticity and prevents the formation of wrinkles.

The Strawberry Tree extract
of Sardinia, thanks to its high content in Arbutin, boasts incredible illuminating and uniforming properties of the complexion.

Betaglucan
is a natural polysaccharide which enhances the skin's immune system, making it less sensitive and improves its self-repair capacity.

Trehalose
is a natural sugar that gives immediate and prolonged hydration and promotes the recovery of dry, reddened and sensitive skin. In association with Hyaluronic Acid, it increases skin firmness.

The texture is light and velvety but oil-free, it absorbs very quickly, does not grease the face and leaves no residue. Its fragrance is simply irresistible.

When to use hyaluronic acid and from what age?

Precisely because of all the characteristics we have listed, it is an active ingredient suitable for all skin types: for dry or mature skin characterized by severe dehydration to younger skin to maintain an optimal level of hydration and a healthy and beautiful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid-based moisturizing serum can also be used from the age of 20. It is also a non-irritating or photosensitizing ingredient (in fact it is not an acid in the strict sense of the term such as salicylic, glycolic, lactic acid, etc.) which can be used on the whole face, including the eye area, both at night and at morning.
